Skateboarding Progress

  1. This:
  2. Obtain skateboard. //Thanksgiving 2011
  3. Skate awkwardly in basement (tile). //Thanksgiving 2011
  4. Skate/stand awkwardly in driveway. Distinctly recall being in grey XC sweatpants and running sneakers. //January 2012
  5. Skateboard gathers some dust and rust. //January 2013-May 2013
  6. Skate mongo, balance on board //9 May 2013
  7. Realize that I'm skating mongo, so I learn to skate regularly. Turns out I skate goofy. Learn to kickturn. Skate around a bunch. Start learning ollie. //10 May 2013
  8. Practice ollie while clinging bannister of patio stairs with left hand. //11 May 2013
  9. Wake up with my right quad feeling ridiculously sore from practicing ollies. Apparently I've never run with my quads before. //12 May 2013
  10. Soreness gone. Quad no longer gets sore from practicing ollies. Can tic tac. //14 May 2013
  11. Sister learns how to skateboard. She skates regular. //16 May 2013
  12. Still ollieing while (sometimes) holding onto bannister. Board often swings 45 degrees back. Can balance better. //17 May 2013
  13. Can do half an ollie in place on carpet (tail wheels do not leave ground)! No clinging onto things! //19 May 2013
  14. Can do half an ollie in place on rough cement! (tail wheels do not leave ground). Definitely much better at balancing. //20 May 2013
  15. Can ollie about 2 cm off the ground with board still diagonal. 1 success in 30 tries. //30 May 2013
  16. Obtain better skateboard //14 June 2013
  17. Can ollie about 2cm off ground with board still diagonal. 1 success in 10 tries.
